Video Forensics

Verifying the integrity of digital videos and detecting the traces of tampering without using any protecting pre-extracted or pre-embedded information (e.g., watermarks) plays a critical role in several areas. Based on our +7 years research we provide an accurate, fast, easy-to-use and patented technology capable of detecting photomontages using only and only the image function.

Our technology is based on blind methods, as they are regarded as a new direction and in contrast to active methods they do not need any prior information about the image. Blind methods are mostly based on the fact that forgeries can bring into the image/video specific detectable changes (e.g., statistical changes).

Specifically, we determine the image integrity by matching the video being analyzed with its acquisition device's fingerprints. When verifying an image or searching for traces of manipulation, we automatically extract hidden fingerprints from the photo and compare them with the mathematical model of its acquisition device. Based on this, we can accurately determine if the photo has been tampered with.
